Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Simple Sketchpad ("we", "us", or "our") — the website and its online sketchpad service. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Using the Service
Simple Sketchpad is provided as a free, client-side drawing tool. You may use it for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. There is no account, sign-up, or fee required.
2. Your Content
You retain all rights to the drawings and text you create. Because everything is processed and stored locally in your browser, we do not receive, store, or claim ownership of your content. You are solely responsible for the content you create and for any use you make of exported files.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service in any way.
4. No Warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero).
6. Data Stored Locally
The sketchpad automatically saves your drawing to your browser's local storage so it can be restored on your next visit. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser. Clearing browser data may permanently remove saved drawings. See our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-Party Services
The service may link to third-party websites (such as our GitHub repository). We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party site.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the "last updated" date shown above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws in your jurisdiction. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
